The development of the Ron Dearing UTC (University Technical College) began in July 2016 with the main contractor Sewell Construction. The project team were keen to take on a fabric first approach with high levels of insulation and thermal efficiency and embrace technical advances within the scheme. CSI supported the innovative drive and provided the design and supply of the highly insulated curtain walling, windows and doors scope including the specialised infill’s to the car park openings formed from twisted steel blades.
