Part of Hull’s extensive Building Schools for the Future Programme, Kingswood Academy opened it’s doors to 1300 students in one of the most deprived areas of the UK. This £25m scheme uses glazing techniques to pick out design features, from the coloured ‘light box’ depicting the school’s name by the entrance to the carefully selected hues of the powder coated vents seen along it’s elevations.
